FKTEN Background

Faculty of Electronic Engineering Technology (FKTEN) offers Philosophical Doctorate, Master’s, Undergraduate Bachelor’s Degrees and Diploma programs in Engineering, Engineering technology, and technological fields. Microelectronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Biomedical Electronic Engineering, and Communication, Computer network & Photonic Engineering are the available engineering studies in FKTEN. The faculty also offers engineering technology programs such as Electronic System, Electronic Network Design and Electronic Telecommunication Design. As for the technological studies, Industrial electronic automation programme is available, while diploma studies are offered for Electronic and computer engineering students respectively. All our degrees programmes are offered based on demands from the industries and fulfil the requirement of professional regulatory bodies.

At FKTEN, we are focussed on developing highly trained workforce that can contribute towards national developments. The faculty houses laboratories that are well equipped and up to date to support the teaching and learning activities. These laboratories provide extensive support for teaching and research activities in areas such as computer programming, microprocessors, communication systems, antenna and microwaves, embedded systems, computer networks, bioinstrumentations and various branches of electronics.FKTENalso offers both full-time and part-time research based Philosophical Doctorate and Master’s programmes. Our postgraduate programmes have managed to attract the very best of minds from across the world to come work on industry-funded and government-funded research projects. The faculty places high priority on establishing and maintaining innovative research activities to enhance its education quality and make it relevant and competitive at regional, national and international levels.
